Established in 2018, Rivers of Hope is an arts-based educational organization that is dedicated to building communities and classrooms where everyone belongs.

Based in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, we provide educational programming and resources to help young people, community members, and caring adults build bridges across differences and stand up to prejudice and hate - including (but not limited to) anti-Black racism, anti-Indigeneity, Islamophobia, anti-Asian racism, and antisemitism.

Our JOurney

Rivers of Hope began in 2018 with a groundbreaking research project and toolkit on hate crimes against Muslim women in Toronto, Canada.

Since then, Rivers of Hope has created and facilitated workshops that have reached thousands of people in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

In June 2020, we received a 3-year grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to expand our work.
